Unfortunately, ageing and injury can cause skin to lose moisture. Although ageing is a very complex process, it can be generally divided into intrinsic and extrinsic ageing. While intrinsic ageing is unpreventable and is dependant on hormonal changes (such as the reduction of production of hormones oestrogen and progesterone), extrinsic ageing can be partially prevented by limiting the exposure to harmful external factors, such as UV radiation.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid, also known as Sodium Hyaluronate, is a humectant which is able to bind and retain water molecules. The seemingly extraordinary compound is naturally found in all tissues in the body, especially in the skin, as well as the fluids in the eyes and joints. 

These tablets are offered in our classic torpedo style tablet - therefore we advise those with problems swallowing to not purchase this tablet. We manufacture and package our all own tablets here in Oxfordshire at our certified facility.
