What is Lysine?

Lysine is an amino acid which is used in conjunction with other amino acids to build protein. Certain amino acids can't be synthesised in the body and must, therefore, be acquired from dietary sources - Lysine is one of these. Foods containing Lysine include cheese, yoghurt, red meat, milk, brewer's yeast, soybeans and spirulina.
